SAP BPC - creating default environment

After client copy on customer system, we have encountered the problem, that no environment was active. Down there was show Environment as NULL

If you find yourself in such a situation, at first you need to activate standard SAP environment ENVIRONMENTSHELL using the report UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT in SE38.

EDIT 2019.04.15:

If you have problem with this report stating error

Error "UJS_EXCEPTION No content objects found" with UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT

This is caused by system settings in SCC4 and SE06. You have to set the system as modifiable and optionally you can set automatic recording of changes. More info in SAP Note 1800199

But that standard environment should not be modified. So when you are in the BPC Web Client (tcode RSBPCUI ) click on name of environment in the right bottom corner

Which brings you to environment selection popup. There you have to click on Manage All Environments button.

There select ENVIRONMENTSHELL environment and click Copy button from the toolbar.

It will copy the environment and all its containing objects into the new custom environment in which you can make changes as you wish.

You can also make a backup or restore the environment using the transaction UJBR.

It ensures that the company is heading in the right direction and show your financial stability. With the CreditQ platform, you can minimize the number of defaulters in your business which can directly lead to an increase in your company's CIBIL score.
